Women represent a majority of workforce in our facilities. Tainan Enterprises is committed to empowering women to achieve their full potential. We’ve involved in several projects dedicated to inspiring women with our clients.
Let’s take a look:
Tainan Enterprises engaged in BSR’s HERproject, a project specially designed for female workers, including a health education program and a financial planning guidance. The former provides training on nutrition, sanitation, and reproductive health, while the latter focuses on financial budgeting and awareness on formal and informal financial services.
After three years of implementation, the programs had made positive changes on both of their health and financial conditions, leading them to a healthier lifestyle and building resilience to economic shocks. With happier workers in good health, the factories had found improvements in production and management systems. The project had created a win-win for both involved women and the factories.

In 2013, we introduced Personal Advancement & Career Enhancement (P.A.C.E.) program with Gap Inc. in our facility in Cambodia. It covers various topics including communication, problem solving, time management, financial management, personal hygiene, and reproductive health.
Evaluations of participants have shown the impact of the program – great improvements on communicating and financial planning. P.A.C.E. has also enhanced health of themselves and their family and boosted their confidence.
With huge success in Cambodia, we continue making the impact in Indonesia, and will soon expand it to Vietnam.
